Superannuation Act 1987, make the following Order.

Explanatory note

The State Authorities Superannuation Act 1987 provides for certain former permanent employees of the Department of Family and Community Services who become permanent employees of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Launch Transition Agency (NDISLTA) to continue to be contributors to the State Authorities Superannuation Fund and covered by the State Authorities Superannuation Scheme in certain circumstances.

The object of this Order is to amend the State Authorities Superannuation Act 1987 to extend this opportunity to former permanent employees of that Department who become permanent employees of the NDISLTA (now trading as the National Disability Insurance Agency) in those circumstances before 1 July 2019 (rather than before 1 July 2016).

This Order is taken to have commenced on 1 July 2016.
This Order is made under section 46 of the State Authorities Superannuation Act 1987.

1      Name of Order

This Order is the State Authorities Superannuation Amendment (National Disability
Insurance Scheme Launch Transition Agency) Order 2018.

2      Commencement

This Order is taken to have commenced on 1 July 2016 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of State Authorities Superannuation Act 1987 No 211

Schedule 1 Employers

Omit “limited to those employees who, on or after 4 October 2013, but before 1 July 2016, commenced permanent employment with the National Disability Insurance Scheme Launch Transition Agency immediately following their permanent employment with the Department of Family and Community Services” from the matter relating to the National Disability Insurance Scheme Launch Transition Agency in Part 1.

Insert instead “limited to those employees who, on or after 4 October 2013, but before 1 July 2019, commenced permanent employment with the National Disability Insurance Scheme Launch Transition Agency immediately following their permanent employment with the Department of Family and Community Services”.
