I, the Honourable Thomas Frederick Bathurst AC, Lieutenant-Governor of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 46 of the State Authorities Superannuation Act 1987, make the following Order.

Explanatory note
Section 21 of the Land and Property Information NSW (Authorised Transaction) Act 2016 provides for the
transfer, pursuant to an order made by the Treasurer (the Treasurer’s order), of public sector staff to the employment of a private sector entity. Section 22 of that Act provides for the continuity of employment entitlements, including superannuation, of the transferring employees.
The object of this Order is to update the list of employers in Schedule 1 to the State Authorities
Superannuation Act 1987 to include Australian Registry Services Pty Ltd as a consequence of the

Treasurer’s order. This will mean that persons:

(a) who, immediately before 11.59 pm on 30 June 2017, were employees of the Land and Property

Information Division, Department of Finance, Services and Innovation engaged in the exercise of

the Registrar-General’s titling and registry functions and contributors to the State Authorities Superannuation Fund, and
(b)	whose employment is transferred to Australian Registry Services Pty Ltd,

will continue to be contributors to that Fund for the purposes of the Act.
This Order is made under section 46 of the State Authorities Superannuation Act 1987.

1      Name of Order

This Order is the State Authorities Superannuation Amendment (Australian Registry
Services Pty Ltd) Order 2017.

2      Commencement

This Order commences, or is taken to have commenced, at 11.59 pm on 30 June 2017 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.

Insert at the end of Part 1:

Australian Registry Services Pty Ltd (ACN 617 926 066) as trustee for the Australian Registry Services Trust (limited to those persons who, immediately before 11.59 pm on 30 June 2017, were employees of the Land and Property Information Division, Department of Finance, Services and Innovation and whose employment is transferred pursuant to an order made by the Treasurer under section 21 of the Land and Property Information NSW (Authorised Transaction) Act 2016)
