Amendment Regulation 1996

State Authorities Superannuation Act 1987

His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the State Authorities Superannuation Act 1987.

Explanatory note

The object of this Regulation is to add Rail Access Corporation, Freight Rail Corporation and the Railway Services Authority of New South Wales to the list of employers of certain transport officers (who are taken to have transferred to the State Authorities Superannuation Fund) for the purposes of determining when they cease to be entitled to special benefits under the Fund.

This Regulation is made under the State Authorities Superannuation Act

1987, including section 55 (the general regulation-making power).

1 Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the State Authorities Superannuation (Transport Officers’ Gratuity Scheme Transfer) (Savings and Transitional) Amendment Regulation 1996.

2 Commencement

This Regulation commences on 1 July 1996.

3 Amendment of State Authorities Superannuation (Transport Officers’ Gratuity Scheme Transfer) (Savings and Transitional) Regulation 1989

The State Authorities Superannuation (Transport officers ’ Gratuity Scheme Transfer) (Savings and Transitional) Regulation 1989 is amended as set out in Schedule 1.
