(Amending certain citation clauses)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the State Authorities Superannuation Act 1987, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

Commencement

1. This Regulation commences on 31 August 1995.

Amendment of State Authorities Superannuation (Closed Local
Government Schemes Transfer) Regulation 1990

2. The State Authorities Superannuation (Closed Local Government Schemes Transfer) Regulation 1990 is amended by inserting in clause 1 after the words “(Closed Local Government Schemes Transfer)” the words “(Savings and Transitional)”.

Amendment of State Authorities Superannuation (Government
Railways Superannuation Scheme Transfer) Regulation 1990

3. The State Authorities Superannuation (Government Railways Superannuation Scheme Transfer) Regulation 1990 is amended by inserting in clause 1 after the words “(Government Railways Superannuation Scheme Transfer)” the words “(Savings and Transitional)”.

Amendment of State Authorities Superannuation (Hunter District Water Board Employees’ Provident Fund Transfer) Regulation 1990

4. The State Authorities Superannuation (Hunter District Water Board Employees’ Provident Fund Transfer) Regulation 1990 is amended by inserting in clause 1 after the words “(Hunter District Water Board Employees’ Provident Fund Transfer)” the words “(Savings and Transitional)”.

Amendment of State Authorities Superannuation (State Public
Service Superannuation Scheme Transfer) Regulation 1989

5. The State Authorities Superannuation (State Public Service Superannuation Scheme Transfer) Regulation 1989 is amended by inserting in clause 1 after the words “(State Public Service Superannuation Scheme Transfer)” the words “‘(Savings and Transitional)”.

Amendment of State Authorities Superannuation (Transport
Officers’ Gratuity Scheme Transfer) Regulation 1989

6. The State Authorities Superannuation (Transport Officers’ Gratuity Scheme Transfer) Regulation 1989 is amended by inserting in clause 1 after the words “(Transport Officers’ Gratuity Scheme Transfer)” the words “(Savings and Transitional)”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the citation clauses of various Regulations made under the State Authorities Superannuation Act 1987 so as to reflect the savings and transitional nature of those Regulations. This will more readily identify the Regulations as being, by virtue of item 18 of Schedule 4 to the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989, excluded from the operation of that Act and, in particular, from the automatic repeal provisions of section 10 of that Act.

This Regulation is made under the State Authorities Superannuation Act 1987, in particular, section 55 (the general regulation-making power) and clauses 1 and 2 of Schedule 4.
