State Authorities Non-contributory Superannuation Act 1987

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 27 of the State Authorities Non-contributory Superannuation Act 1987, make the following Order. Dated, this 11th day of August 2010.

Explanatory note
The object of this Order is to include the National Measurement Institute in the list of employers in Schedule 1 to the State Authorities Non-contributory Superannuation Act 1987. This is to reflect agreement between the Commonwealth and State governments that will see the National Measurement Institute replace the relevant State authorities responsible for trade measurement. Employees of the National Measurement Institute who were previously employed in the Department of Services, Technology and Administration immediately before 1 July 2010, in a function relating to trade measurement, are to continue to be employees for the purposes of that Act.
This Order is made under section 27 of the State Authorities Non-contributory

Superannuation Act 1987.

1      Name of Order

This Order is the State Authorities Non-contributory Superannuation
Amendment (National Measurement Institute) Order 2010.

2      Commencement

This Order is taken to have commenced on 1 July 2010 and is required to be published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of State Authorities Non-contributory Superannuation Act 1987 No 212

The State Authorities Non-contributory Superannuation Act 1987 is amended by inserting at the end of Part 1 of Schedule 1:

National Measurement Institute (limited to those persons who were, immediately before 1 July 2010, employed in the Department of Services, Technology and Administration in a function relating to trade measurement)
