SUPERANNUATION ACT 1987—ORDER
NEW SOUTH WALES

I, Rear Admiral PETER ROSS SINCLAIR, A.C., Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 27 of the State Authorities Non-contributory Superannuation Act 1987, do, by this my Order, amend Schedule 1 to that Act (Employers), to take effect on and from 14 October 1988, by inserting at the end of Part 1 of that Schedule the following matter:
New South Wales Society for Children and Young Adults with
Physical Disabilities (limited to:
(a)
persons in respect of any period during which they have been employees of the employer from and including 14 October 1988 (but only if they were employees of the employer and contributing employees within the meaning of section 26C on 18 December 1992); and
(b)
other persons (being contributing employees within the meaning of that section) in respect of any period during which they were employees of the employer from and including 14 October 1988 and before 18 December 1992;
(c)
other persons (being non-contributing employees within the meaning of that section) in respect of any period during which they were employees of the employer from and including 14 October 1988 and before 1 July 1992)

EXPLANATORY NOTE
Under the State Authorities Non-contributory superannuation Act 1987 employers within the meaning of the Act are required to make superannuation contributions in respect of their employees to the fund established under the Act. Schedule l to the Act lists organisations and bodies that are employers for the purposes of the Act. Section 27 of the Act authorises the Governor-in-council, by Order, to amend the Schedule. The purpose of this Order is to amend the Schedule so as to include the New South Wales Society for Children and Young Adults with Physical Disabilities in the list of
employers.
The Order will be taken to have had effect on and from 14 October 1988. (Section 27
(2) of the Act authorises an Order to be made so that it has effect on and from a date
that is earlier than the date of its publication.)
