An Act to amend the Standard Time and Summer Time Act 1972

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

  1. Name of Act

    This Act is the Standard Time and Summer Time Amendment Act 2008.

  2. Commencement

    This Act commences on the day after its notification day.

    NoteThe naming and commencement provisions automatically commence on the notification day (see Legislation Act, s 75 (1)).

  3. Legislation amended

    This Act amends the Standard Time and Summer Time Act 1972.

  4. Dictionary, definition of summer time period, paragraph (a)

    substitute

    (a)a period starting at 2 am on the first Sunday in October in a year and ending at 2 am on the first Sunday in the following April; or
