An Ordinance to amend the Standard Time and Summer Time Ordinance

1972

Short title

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Standard Time and Summer Time

(Amendment) Ordinance 1982.1

2. The Standard Time and Summer Time Ordinance 19722 is amended by

adding at the end thereof the following section:

Authorised by the ACT Parliamentary Counsel—also accessible at

Extended daylight saving period for 1982

"7. This Ordinance has effect in relation to the period commencing at the hour of 2 o'clock in the morning by the mean time of the one hundred and fiftieth meridian of longitude east of Greenwich, England, on 7 March 1982 and ending at the hour of 2 o'clock in the morning by the mean time of that meridian on 4 April 1982 as if the reference in the definition of 'daylight saving period' in section 3 to the month of March were a reference to the month of April.".
