”1 3 it enacted by the Kinĵ ’̂s Most Excellent Majesty, by and witli _1 J the advice and consent of the Legislative Connell and Legislative Assembly of New South "Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the autliority of the same as follows :—

1 . This Act may be cited as the “ Standard Time Act, 1902.”

2 . The Acts specified in the Schedule to this Act to the extent Repeal,

therein expressed are herehy repealed.

3 . Save as hereinafter provided, the mean time of tlu‘ one tiu - time of the

England shall be deemed and is hert'by declared to be standard time

throughout New South Wales; and whenever any expression of timess. 3,4.

occurs in any Act, Order in Council, rule, regulation, or hy-law, or

deed, or in any instrument Avhatsoever, and whenever the doing or not

doing anything at a certain time of day or night, or during a certain

part of the day or the night, has an effect in law, such time shall,

unless it is otluirwisc specifically stated, he held to be standard time

throughout N cav South Wales as declared by this Act.

enactments hereinafter referred to, but not further or otherwise—

(a)

Sections fifteen, eighteen, and sixty-three of the Liquor Act, 1898, and such other provisions of the said Act as relate to th(! hours hetween which licensees may keep their premises open for the sale of liquor, sell and dispose of liquor, and permit liquor to be drunk or consumed on their premises ;

(/v) section eight of the Billiard and Bagatelle Act, 1902, or any enactment amending or consolidating the same;

(c)

section seventy-six of the Parliamentary Electorates and Eledions Act, 1902, and section seventy-five of the Municipalities Act, 1897, and such otlu'r provisions of the said Acts, or of any Acts ainending or consolidating the same as relate to the hours at which the polling or voting at elections shall commence and close.
