E it Enacted by the Governor, with the advice and consent of

the Parliament of South Australia, as follows:

l, This Act may be cited as

Lhc Standard Time Act, 1898.''

Short title-

2, This Act shall comc into operation oil s day to be appointed Commencement d

by the Governor, by Proclamation published in the Gosernment A"t.

Gazette.

3. The mean time of the meridian of longitude one hundred and Standard timc.

forty-two and a half degrees east of Greenvich shall be deemed, and

is hereby declared to be, standard timc throughout South Australia.

whatsoever, and whenever the doing or not doing anything at a certain time of day or night, or during a certain of the ?lay or

the night, has an effect in law, such time shall, unless it is otherwise

specifically statecl, be held to be stanclarcl time throughout South

Australia, as declared by this Act.

6, The

Standard Time Act, 1894," is hereby repealed.

Repeal.
