s1 2 s6 Stamp Duties Amendment (No. 1) No. 149, 1996 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Stamp Duties Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1996 . ˙ Commencement 2. This regulation commences on 1 July 1996. ˙ Regulation amended 3. This regulation amends the Stamp Duties Regulation 1926 . ˙ Replacement of s 2 4. Section 2— omit, insert— ˙ ‘ Definition ‘ 2. In this regulation— “approved form” see section 4.’. ˙ Replacement of s 4 5. Section 4— omit, insert — ˙ ‘ Forms ‘ 4. The forms prescribed, or approved forms, for the Act are the forms approved by the commissioner.’. ˙ Replacement of s 18 6. Section 18— omit, insert—

s6 3 s6 Stamp Duties Amendment (No. 1) No. 149, 1996 ˙ ‘ Declaration for claiming exemption ‘ 18. A person claiming exemption under schedule 1 of the Act, under the heading “Mortgage, Bond, Debenture, and Covenant”, exemption 4 or 4A must give the commissioner a declaration in the approved form.’.
