(Relating to the exemption of certain transactions

from stamp duty)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Stamp Duties Act 1920, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Stamp Duies Regulations 1934 are amended by omitting from

Regulation 81 the words "listed on the New York Stock Exchange".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend the Stamp Duties Regulations 1934 so

as to exempt from liability for payment of stamp duty dealings in American
Depository Shares generally rather than, as is currently the case, merely those listed
on the New York Stock Exchange.
