STAMP DUTIES ACT 1920—REGULATION

(Relating to debt securities issued by corporate trustees)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Stamp Duties Act 1920, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Stamp Duties (Mortgage-backed Securities) Regulation 1986 is amended by inserting in clause 3 (b) after the word “corporation” the words “(including a corporate trustee)”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to amend a provision of the Stamp Duties (Mortgage-backed Securities) Regulation 1986 to make it clear that a reference in the provision to a corporation that issues securities includes a reference to a corporate trustee that issues them.
