AN ACT to amend the Stamp Act 1921-1981.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Stamp griattli'm

Amendment Act 1982.

(2) In this Act the Stamp Act 1921-1981 is Re app Cued 25 March

be cited as the Stamp Act 1921-1982. of 1981.

=cfacv..2N	2.	Section 112N of the principal Act is amended
(a) in subsection (1), by inserting after para- graph (f) the following paragraph-

" (fa) any credit business or rental

business transacted with-

(i) the Crown; or

(ii)  any Crown instrumentality, agent of the Crown or Government authority designated by the Treasurer as an exempt instrument- ality for the purposes of this subsection pursuant to sub- section (la) of this section,

or any person acting on behalf of or for the benefit of the Crown or any body so designated; " ; and

(b) by inserting the following subsections

(la) The Treasurer may by order published in the Government Gazette designate any Crown instrumentality, agent of the Crown or Government authority as an exempt instrumentality for the purposes of subsection (1) (fa) (ii) of this section.

(lb) An order under subsection (la) of this section may be varied or revoked by the Treasurer by a further order published in the Government

Gazette. " .
