An Act to Amend “ The Stamp Acts, 1894 to 1955,” T he S tamp A cts A mendment in certain particulars. A ct of 1956. [A ssented to 19 th N ovember , 1956.] B E it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis­ lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:— Short title. 1. (1.) This Act may be cited as The Stamp Acts Amendment Act of 1956.” Principal (2.) *“ The Stamp Acts, 1894 to 1955,” are in this Act. Act referred to as the Principal Act. Collective (3.) By, under the heading “ R eceipt —Given for or on the payment of money ”, repealing the provision “ All receipts for money withdrawn by depositors from * 58 V. (2.) Any bank which at the commencement of this Act is in possession of bills of exchange forms referred to in subsection one of this section shall j within one month of such commencement furnish to the Commissioner a statement in a form approved by him giving particulars and numbers of such forms and pay to the Commissioner the duty of three pence per form or the additional duty of one penny per form, as the case may require. (3.) Where bills of exchange forms referred to in -subsection one of this section are at the commencement of this Act in the possession of a printer and are subsequently delivered to a bank the bank shall when making payment of the stamp duty in accordance with *“ The Stamp Acts , 1894 to 1956,” and the regulations thereunder, pay to the Commissioner the amount of three pence duty on each such form. 58 V.
