AN ACT to amend the Stamp Act, 1921-1971.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

(i) by substituting for the passage "0.10" denoting ten cents under the column headed "Stamp Duty Payable" opposite the passage "$25" in para- graph (3) of that item the passage "0.15";
(ii) by substituting for the passage "0.40" denoting forty cents under the column headed "Stamp Duty Pay- able" opposite the passage 1100" in paragraph (3) of that item the passage "0.60";

(iii) by repealing and re-enacting sub- paragraphs (i) and (ii) of paragraph (3a) as follows-
(i) where the consideration
does not exceed $25 0.08
exceeds $25 but does
| not exceed $50 | 0.15 |
exceeds $50 but does
| not exceed $75 | 0.23 |
exceeds $75 but is
| less than $100 | 0.30 |
| (ii) | where the considera- tion is $100 or more |
for every $100 and also for any frac- tional part of $100 0.30;
and
(iv) by substituting for the passage "0.10" denoting ten cents under the column headed "Stamp Duty Payable" opposite the word "consideration" being the last word in paragraph (5) of that item the passage "0.15".
