776 Stamp Act Amendment Act (No. 2), 1982, No. 53 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Stamp Act Amendment Act 1982 (No. 2). (2) In this Act the Stamp Act1894-1982, being the Stamp Act1894-1981. as amended by the Stamp Act Amendment Act1982, is referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Stamp Act1894-1982. 2. Commencement of Act. (1) Section 1 and this section shall come into operation on the day on which this Act is assented to for and on behalf of Her Majesty. (2) The provisions of section 3 (a) of this Act shall come into operation on 15th November 1982. (3) The provisions of section 3 (b) of this Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st November 1982 and shall be given retrospective effect accordingly. 3. Amendment of First Schedule . The First Schedule of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) omitting from the provisions under the heading "APPLICATION for REGISTRATION or APPLICATION for TRANSFER of REGISTRATION of a motor vehicle." the expression " 1.00 " and substituting the expression " 2.00 "; (b) omitting from the exemptions under the heading " MORTGAGE, BOND, DEBENTURE, and COVENANT " the expression " $25 000 " where it appears three times and substituting the expression " $35 000 " in each case.
