An Act to provide for the removal of human cearge v,

remains and certain slabs and tombstones from a portion of the Balmain Catholicj Cemetery attached to Saint Columba’s Church, North Leichhardt; for the re­ interment of such remains and the re-erection of such slabs and tombstones in anothei’ part of such cemetery : to authorise tluj erection of a convent, church and presbyter^" upon the land from which such remains, slabs and tombstones have been removed; and for purposes connected therewith. it enacted by the King’s iMost Excellent Majesty, _LJ by and with the advice and consent of the Legis­ lative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales ill Parliament assembled, and by the jiutbority of the same, as folloivs :—

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the ‘‘ St. Columba’s Church Cemetery .Vet, 1934.”

Removal of

2. (1) The Reverend William John Geer, the Roman

Catholic Parish Priest of the Parish of North Leichhardt, may cause the remains of any person buried in the land described in the First Part of the Schedule to this Act (so far as such remains can by reasonable diligence be discovered and identitied) together with any slab or tombstone in relation thereto, to be collected with due care, and may cause such remains to be reverently rein­ terred in and such slab or tombstone re-erected on that part of the said land described in the Second Part of the said Schedule.

(2) The said Reverend William John Geer shall defray the cost of the removal, re-interment and re­ erection, but shall not be liable to pay any e.xhumation fees in respect thereof.

Commencing at a point on the eastern boundary of land in said Certificate of Title distant 150 feet 0 inches northerly from the intersection of that eastern boundary with the northern building line of Allan-strcet, and bounded thence on the cast by the aforesaid eastern boundary of land in Certificate of Title volume 81, folio 17G, bearing northerly for 218 feet 4 inches, thence on the north by a line bearing westerly for 20 feet 0 inches, thence on the west by a line bearing southerly for 218 feet 4 inches, and thence on the south by a lino bearing easterly for 20 feet 0 inches to the point of commence­ ment.
