TTTH EREA S upon the opening of the proposed continuation of

Pitt-street Sydney that portion of the street called Spring- street which lies between Hunter-street and the west side of the line of the proposed continuation of Pitt-street will no longer he required as a public thoroughfare and it is expedient that the right-of-way heretofore enjoyed by the luiblic over the said portion of Sjiring-street should he legally extinguished to the end that Her Majesty may he enabled to alienate the same for building or other purposes free and clear of such right-of-way Be it therefore enacted by His Excellency the Governor of New South "Wales with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof as follows ;—

1. Upon the opening of the proposed continuation of Pitt- shall be lawful for the Surveyor General to cause to be cncloscid so much of the street called Spring-street in the said City as lies between Hunter-street and the west side of the line of the said proposed continuation of Pitt-street and thereupon all right of way over the land forming the said portion of Spring-street shall be for ever extinguished and it shall be lawful for Her Majesty or for any person or persons acting on the behalf or under the authority of Her said Majesty to alienate and convey the said piece of land forming the said portion of Spring-street so enclosed.
