(Delegation) Regulation 2015

His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Sporting Injuries Insurance Act 1978.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Sporting Injuries Insurance Regulation 2014 to authorise the appointed directors of the board of Insurance and Care NSW as a class of persons to whom the Sporting Injuries Compensation Authority may delegate any of its functions.

This Regulation is made under the Sporting Injuries Insurance Act 1978, including paragraph (b) of the definition of authorised person in section 10 (2) and section 30 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Sporting Injuries Insurance Amendment (Delegation)
Regulation 2015.

2      Commencement

This Regulation commences on the day on which it is published on the NSW legislation website.

3 Amendment of Sporting Injuries Insurance Regulation 2014

Clause 6A

Insert after clause 6:

6A Delegation to authorised persons

The appointed directors of the ICNSW Board (within the meaning of the State Insurance and Care Governance Act 2015) are authorised as a class of persons for the purposes of section 10 of the Act.
