Southern Squid Jig Fishery (Total Allowable Effort) Determination 2018
The Australian Fisheries Management Authority makes the following determination in accordance with a decision made by the Commissioners under section 23 of the Fisheries Administration Act 1991.

1 Name
This instrument is the Southern Squid Jig Fishery (Total Allowable Effort) Determination 2018.
2 Commencement
This instrument commences on 1 January 2019.
3 Revocation
This instrument is repealed on 1 January 2020.
4 Authority
This instrument is made pursuant to paragraph 17(6)(aa) of the Fisheries Management Act 1991 by way of subsection 11(1) of the Southern Squid Jig Fishery Management Plan 2005 (the Plan).
5 Definitions
A term used in this instrument that is defined for the purposes of the Plan has the same meaning in this instrument as it has in the Plan.
Note: Terms defined in the Fisheries Management Act 1991 have the same meaning in this instrument: section 13 of the Legislation Act 2003.
6Repeal
The Southern Squid Jig Fishery Total Allowable Effort Determination 2017 is repealed.
7 Determination of total allowable effort
The total allowable effort for the fishing year commencing on 1 January 2019 and ending on 31 December 2019 is 550 standard squid jigging machines.
