The Australian Fisheries Management Authority makes this determination under subsection 17(6)(aa) of the Fisheries Management Act 1991 and subsection 11(1) of the Southern Squid Jig Fishery Management Plan 2005.

  1. Name of determination

This determination is the Southern Squid Jig Fishery Total Allowable Effort Determination 2010.

  1. Commencement

This determination commences on the day after it is registered on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.

  1. Definitions

A term used in this determination has the same meaning as in the Southern Squid Jig Fishery Management Plan 2005.  

Note 1   Unless otherwise stated, a term used in this determination has the same meaning as in the Fisheries Management Act 1991.

4              Determination of total allowable effort

The total allowable effort for the fishery for the 2011 fishing year is 560 standard squid jigging machines.
