2007/08 SBT AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL CATCH ALLOCATION DETERMINATION

The Australian Fisheries Management Authority makes the following determination under subclause 17(2) of the Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery Management Plan 1995.

Citation

1.         This determination may be cited as the 2007-08 SBT Australian National Catch Allocation Determination.

Commencement

2.         This determination commences on the day after its registration in the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.

Interpretation

3.         A term used in this determination that is defined for the purposes of the Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery Management Plan 1995 has the same meaning in this determination as it has in that Plan.

[Notes:            1.    Terms defined in the Fisheries Management Act 1991 have the same meanings in this determination.

2.    Terms defined in the Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery Management Plan include "Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery”.]

Determination of Australia’s national catch allocation

4.         Australia’s national catch allocation for the season in the Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery which will commence on 1 December 2007 and which will end on 30 November 2008 is 5,265,000 kilograms.
