Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery (Actual Live Weight Value of a Statutory Fishing Right) Determination 2018

The Australian Fisheries Management Authority makes the following determination in accordance with a decision made by the Commissioners under section 23 of the Fisheries Administration Act 1991.

1  Name

This instrument may be cited as the Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery (Actual Live Weight Value of a Statutory Fishing Right) Determination 2018.

2  Commencement

This instrument commences on 1 December 2018.

3  Cessation

This instrument ceases as if it was revoked on 1 December 2020 unless earlier revoked. 

4  Authority

This instrument is made pursuant to paragraph 17(6)(aa) of the Fisheries Management Act 1991 under subsection 18.3 of the Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery Management Plan 1995.

5  Definitions

A term used in this instrument that is defined for the purposes of the Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery Management Plan 1995 (the Plan) has the same meaning in this instrument as it has in that Plan.

Note:          Terms defined in the Fisheries Management Act 1991 have the same meanings in this instrument. 

6  Determination of the actual live weight value of a statutory fishing right

(1)  The actual live weight value of a statutory fishing right for the fishing season in the SBT Fishery that commences on 1 December 2018 and ends on 30 November 2019 is 1.15787216 kilograms. 

(2)  The actual live weight value of a statutory fishing right for the fishing season in the SBT Fishery that commences on 1 December 2019 and ends on 30 November 2020 is 1.15787216 kilograms.
