I, Richard McLoughlin, Managing Director of the Australian Fisheries Management Authority, as delegate make the following determination under subsection 17(2) of the Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery Management Plan 1995.

Citation

1.             This determination may be cited as the Southern Bluefin Tuna Final Total Allowable Catch Determination 2005-06.

Commencement

2.         This determination commences on the 3 July 2006.

Interpretation

3.         A term used in this determination that is defined for the purposes of the Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery Management Plan 1995 has the same meaning in this determination as it has in that Plan.

[Notes:           1.    Terms defined in the Fisheries Management Act 1991 have the same meanings in this determination.

2.    Terms defined in the Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery Management Plan include "Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery”.]

Determination of Australia’s national catch allocation

4.         Australia’s national catch allocation for the season in the Southern Bluefin Tuna Fishery which commenced on 1 December 2005 and which will end on 30 November 2006 is 5,265,000 kilograms.
