AN ACT to amend the Solicitor-General Act, 1969-

1976.

[Assented to 21st November, 1979.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Solicitor- :grgneon.

In this Act the Solicitor-General Act, 1969-

of 1969 as

amended by

1976 is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may

be cited as the Solicitor-General Act, 1969-1979.

2. This Act shall be deemed to have come into

operation on the 19th May, 1969.

Section 10

amended.

3. Section 10 of the principal Act is amended

(a)

by inserting immediately after the section number "10." the subsection designation (1); and

(b)

by inserting a subsection as follows

(2) Where subsection (1) of this section applies to and in respect of a person so that, under the Superannuation and Family Benefits Act, 1938, a pension is payable to and in respect of him, the payment of that pension does not affect any pension that may be payable to and in respect of him under the Judges' Salaries and Pensions Act, 1950, but the pension otherwise payable under that Act to and in respect of him, shall he reduced in accordance with the provisions of that Act by the amount of the State share of the firstmentioned pension. .

Section 11

amended.

4. Section 11 of the principal Act is amended

(a)

by deleting the first three lines and inserting in lieu thereof the word "The"; and

(b)

by deleting the word "him", in line seven, and inserting in lieu thereof the words "the Solicitor-General".

Section 12

amended.

5. Section 12 of the principal Act is amended by

deleting the first three lines and inserting in lieu

thereof the words "Where a Solicitor-General is".
