1  Name

This Determination is the Social Security (Class of Visas – Newly Arrived Resident’s Waiting Period for Carer Payment) Determination 2018.

2  Commencement

(1)  Each provision of this instrument specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

3  Authority

This Determination is made under subsection 201AA(5B) of the Social Security Act 1991.

4  Class of visas

For the purposes of subsection 201AA(5) of the Social Security Act 1991 the classes of visas are:

(a)  Subclass 116 (Carer); and

(b)  Subclass 836 (Carer).

5  Repeal of this Instrument

This instrument is repealed at the start of 1 October 2021.
