1              Name of Determination

This Determination is the Social Security (Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment) Amendment Determination 2009 (No.1).

2              Commencement

This Determination commences on the date it is signed.

3              Amendment of Social Security (Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment) Determination 2009 (No.1)

Schedule 1 amends the Social Security (Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment) Determination 2009 (No.1).

The flooding:

(a)that occurred in the Far North and Northern regions of Queensland; and

(b)which occurred as a result of:

(i)the rain depression caused by Tropical Cyclone Ellie which commenced on 31 January 2009; and

(ii)following the rain depression caused by Tropical Cyclone Ellie - further heavy rain that fell during February 2009; and

(c)which affected the Far North and Northern regions of Queensland during the period from 31 January 2009 to February 2009 accordingly.
