An Act to amend section 14 of the Soccer Football Pools Act, 1975, with respect to duty payable in relation to soccer football pools. [Assented to, 19th November, 1982.]

Soccer Football Pools {Amendment).

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1.      This Act may be cited as the “Soccer Football Pools (Amendment)

Act, 1982”.

Commencement.

2. (1) Except as provided by subsection (2), this Act shall coirunence

on the date of assent to this Act.

(2) Section 3 shall be deemed to have commenced on 11th September,

1982.

Amendment of Act No. 45, 1975.

3.          The Soecer Football Pools Act, 1975, is amended by omitting section

14 (1) (b) and by inserting instead the following paragraph:—

(b) pay to the Minister as duty an amount equal to—

(i)   except as provided by subparagraph (ii), 32.5 per centum of the subscriptions; or

(ii)   where, in any year, the subscriptions exceed $100,000,000, 32.5 per centum of the subscriptions which do not exceed $100,000,000 and 35 per centum of the subseriptions which exceed $100,000,000.
