748 Soccer Football Pools Act Amendment Act 1982, No. 46 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Soccer Football Pools Act Amendment Act 1982. (2) In this Act the Soccer Football Pools Act1976 is referred to as the Principal Act. (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Soccer Football Pools Act1976-1982. 2. Amendment of s. 6. Licence to promote , conduct and operate soccer football pools . Section 6 of the Principal Act is amended by- (a) in subsection (3), omitting paragraph (c) and substituting the following paragraph:- (c) that as a prerequisite to the granting of the licence the applicant shall lodge with the Treasurer, within the time specified in the notice, the prescribed security."; (b) inserting after subsection (4) the following subsection:- (4A) Where an applicant to whom has been given a notice in accordance with subsection (2) (a) has complied to the Treasurer's satisfaction with the condition referred to in subsection 3 (c) prerequisite to the granting of a licence the Treasurer shall grant and cause to be issued to the applicant a licence either unconditionally or subject to the conditions specified in the notice, as the case may require.". 3. Amendment of s. 14 . Application of subscriptions . Section 14 of the Principal Act is amended by, in subsection (1), adding at the end of paragraph (b) the words " or such greater percentage thereof as is prescribed from time to time ".
