Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation Act 1970.

1. After regulation 1 of the Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Interpretation

“1a. In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears:

‘the Act’ means the Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation Act 1970.”.

2.The Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation Regulations are amended by adding at the end:

Prescribed amount for purposes of subsection 48 (1) of the Act

“6. For the purposes of subsection 48 (1) of the Act, the amount of $5,000,000 is prescribed in respect of a contract entered into in relation to a short term interest bearing investment by the Corporation of surplus working capital funds.”.
