Act relating to the Salaries and Allowances of the Director and the Assistant
Directors of the Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation.

BE it
enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of
Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—
Short
title and citation.
1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation Act
(No. 2) 1970.
(2.) The Snowy Mountains Engineering Corporation Act 1970,
as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Snowy
Mountains Engineering Corporation Acts 1970.
Commencement.
2.This Act shall come into operation on the day on which
it receives the Royal Assent.
Salaries and allowances.
3. Section 10 of the Snowy
Mountains Engineering Corporation Act 1970 is amended by omitting
sub-section (1.) and inserting in its stead the following sub-section:—
“(1.) Subject to
this Act—
(a) the Director shall be paid salary at
such rate, and an annual allowance (if any) at such rate, as the Parliament
provides; and
