No 99—Proclamation

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Snowy Hydro Corporatisation Act 1997, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 15 May 2001 as the day on which Part 2, Part 3 (except section 11 and sections 15–18) and Part 8 (except sections 52, 53, 54, 55 and 57) of that Act, and Schedules 1 and 4 to that Act, commence.

Explanatory note
The object of this Proclamation is to commence a number of provisions of the Act to enable preparatory steps to be taken for the purpose of the eventual corporatisation of the Snowy Hydro-electric Authority on the date to be appointed as the corporatisation date.

This Proclamation is made under section 2 of the Act.
