SNOWY HYDRO CORPORATISATION ACT 1997—

PROCLAMATION

I, the Honourable Gordon Samuels AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 2 of the Snowy Hydro Corporatisation Act 1997, do, by this my Proclamation, appoint 28 November 1997 as the day on which Parts l and 4

of that Act commence.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Proclamation is to commence the following provisions of the Act:

(a)	Part 1 (which contains preliminary provisions, including definitions),
(b)	Part 4 (which contains provisions for the holding of a water inquiry with respect to environmental issues relating to the Snowy Mountains Hydro-electric Scheme).
