AN ACT to amend the Skeleton Weed and Resistant Grain Insects (Eradication Funds) Act 1974- 1980.

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most ExcellentMajesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Skeleton Etna,.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act

may be cited as the Skeleton Weed and Resistant

Grain Insects (Eradication Funds) Act 1974-1982.

Section 4

amended. 2. Section 4 of the principal Act is amended by

deleting the definition of "inspector" and

substituting the following definition

if "inspector" means a person who is an

inspector or authorized person within the meanings given to those terms by the Agriculture and Related Resources Protection Act 1976; " .

Section 9

amended. 3. Section 9 of the principal Act is amended

(a) in subsection (2), by deleting "1981-1982" and substituting the following-

" 1984-1985 " ; and

(b) in subsection (5)-

(i)   by deleting "and" after paragraph (h); and

(ii)   by deleting the comma at the end of paragraph (i) and substituting the following

(j)	delivered during the period of 12 months ending on 31 October 1983 shall be deemed to have been grown during the crop year 1982- 1983;
(k)	delivered during the period of 12 months ending on 31 October 1984 shall be deemed to have been grown during the crop year 1983- 1984; and

(1) delivered during the period of 12 months ending on 31 October 1985 shall be deemed to have been grown during the crop year 1984- 1985, " .

4.    Section 10 of the principal Act is amended in amended?

paragraph (b) by deleting "1981-1982" and

substituting the following-

" 1984-1985 " .

5.    Section 13 of the principal Act is amended in amended.'

subsections (1), (4) and (6) by deleting "Noxious Weeds Act, 1950" wherever it occurs and in each case substituting the following-

" Agriculture and Related Resources Pro-

tection Act 1976 " .

6.    Section 14 of the principal Act is amended amended.'

in paragraph (a) of subsection (2) by deleting "after the coming into operation of this Act, been convicted of an offence under the Noxious Weeds Act, 1950" and substituting the following-

" been convicted of an offence under the Agriculture and Related Resources Protection Act 1976 " .

7.    Section 18 of the principal Act is amended gg,c'dnej,

in subsection (1) by deleting "1981-1982" and

substituting the following-

" 1984-1985 " .
