HAYNE J:   In January 2001 the applicant was convicted in the District Court of New South Wales of a number of offences.  In February 2002 his appeal to the Court of Criminal Appeal against those convictions was dismissed.  He unsuccessfully sought special leave to appeal to this Court.  He now seeks special leave to appeal against orders of the Court of Appeal of New South Wales made on 27 August 2004 dismissing his appeal against orders of a single judge of the Supreme Court.  That judge dismissed the applicant’s application for orders compelling the present respondent to “register” a second appeal which the applicant sought to make against his convictions.

There is no reason to doubt the correctness of the decision of the Court of Appeal which the applicant now seeks to challenge.

Pursuant to rule 41.11.1 we direct the Registrar to draw up, sign and seal an order dismissing the application with costs.  I publish that disposition.

AT 9.35 AM THE MATTER WAS CONCLUDED
