Arrangement for conduct of election.

[1]        On 19 January 2016 The Showmen's Guild of Australasia lodged with the

Fair Work Commission (the Commission) the prescribed information in relation to an election

for the following office, due to insufficient nominations received at a previous election

(E2015/245):

[2]        It was clear from the prescribed information lodged with the Commission that the

suggested timetable for the election could not be met. Staff of the Commission advised

The Showmen’s Guild of Australasia of this on 27 January 2015. As a result, the timetable

for nominations for the election of shall be, in accordance with the rules of The Showman’s

Guild of Australasia, determined by the returning officer.

[3]        I am satisfied that an election for the abovenamed office is required to be held under

the rules of the organisation and, under subsection 189(3) of the Fair Work (Registered

Organisations) Act 2009, I am making arrangements for the conduct of the election by the

Australian Electoral Commission.
