Sheriff Amendment Regulations 2021

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Sheriff Regulations 2019 to provide for the waiver of certain fees payable under those Regulations.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 56 of the Sheriff Act 2009.

3New Division 4 of Part 2 inserted

After Division 3 of Part 2 of the Sheriff Regulations 2019[1] insert—

"Division 4—Waiver of fees

19ASheriff may waive fees

(1)The sheriff may waive a fee that is payable under another Division of this Part if satisfied that there are reasonable grounds for the waiver of the fee.

(2)The waiver of the fee may be subject to conditions specified by the sheriff.".
