An Act to amend the Shale Oil Bounty Act 1917-1922.

Preamble.
BE it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty,
the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia,
for the purpose of appropriating the grant originated in the House of
Representatives, as follows:—
Short title and citation.
1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Shale Oil Bounty Act 1923.
(2.) The Shale Oil Bounty Act 1917–1922 is in
this Act referred to as the Principal Act.
(3.) The
Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Shale Oil Bounty Act 1917–1923.
Period during which bounty payable.
2.Section two of the Principal Act is amended
by omitting the words “six years” and inserting in their stead the words “nine
years”.
Specification of bounty.
3.Section three of the Principal Act is amended
by omitting from sub-section (2.) thereof the words “six years” and inserting
in their stead the words “nine years”.
Amendment of the Schedule.
4. The Schedule to the Principal Act is amended—
(a)by omitting from the second column the
figure “6” and inserting in its stead the figure “9”; and
