Sex Offenders Registration Act 2004

Sex Offenders Registration (Amendment) Regulations 2007

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Sex Offenders Registration Regulations 2004 to prescribe a corresponding Act and a corresponding sex offender registration order.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 75 of the Sex Offenders Registration Act 2004.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 30 March 2007.

4Corresponding Act

(1)In regulation 5(f) of the Sex Offenders Registration Regulations 2004[1], for "Tasmania." substitute "Tasmania;".

(2)After regulation 5(f) of the Sex Offenders Registration Regulations 2004 insert

"(g)the Child Sex Offenders Registration Act 2006 of South Australia.".

5Corresponding sex offender registration order

(1)In regulation 5A(f) of the Sex Offenders Registration Regulations 2004, for "Tasmania." substitute "Tasmania;".

(2)After regulation 5A(f) of the Sex Offenders Registration Regulations 2004 insert

"(g)an order under section 9 of the Child Sex Offenders Registration Act 2006 of South Australia.".
