Sex Discrimination Amendment Act 1997

An Act to amend the Sex Discrimination Act 1994

[Royal Assent 2 September 1997]

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Sex Discrimination Amendment Act 1997 . 2CommencementThis Act commences on the day after the day on which it receives the Royal Assent. 3Principal ActIn this Act, the Sex Discrimination Act 1994 is referred to as the Principal Act. 4Section 12 amended (Tribunal) Section 12 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after subsection (4) the following subsection: (5)  The chairperson may determine which member or members of the Tribunal constitute the Tribunal in a particular inquiry or review.
