529 (Quallsfunbc ANNO SEXTO DECIMO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 50 of 1967 An Act to Amend "The Sewerage, Water Supply, and Gasfitting Acts, 1949 to 1960" in certain particulars [ASSENTED TO 22ND DECEMBER, 1967] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. (1) Short title . This Act may be cited as " The Sewerage, Water Supply, and Gasfitring Acts Amendment Act of 1967." (2) Principal Act. "The Sewerage, Water Supply, and Gasfitting Acts, 1949 to 1960." are in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. (3) Collective title. The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively cited as " The Sewerage. Water Supply. and Gasfitting Acts, 1949 to 1967."
530 Sewerage , Water Supply, & Gasfrtting Acts Arndt Act of 1967, No. 50 2. Amendments of s. 7 (2). Subsection (2) of section seven of the Principal Act is amended by in the first paragraph- (a) omitting in the general words preceding paragraph (i) the words 66 six members " and inserting in their stead the words " eight members "; (b) omitting the word " and " appearing after subparagraph (v); (c) adding the following subparagraphs:- 66 (vii) A representative of the Gas Companies, nominated in that behalf by such Companies in the manner prescribed; and (viii) A representative of the Department of Mines nominated in that behalf by the Minister for the time being administering that Department."; and (d) omitting the proviso. 3. Saving of term of representative of Gas Companies . The member of the Board who immediately prior to the passing of this Act held office as such as representative of the Gas Companies shall be deemed to have been appointed on the passing of this Act for the unexpired portion of his term of office existing at the passing of this Act.
