Sewerage Rates (Amendment) Act 1991

An Act to amend the Sewerage Rates Act 1968

The Legislative Assembly for the Australian Capital Territory enacts as follows:

Short title

1.  This Act may be cited as the Sewerage Rates (Amendment) Act 1991.

Commencement

2.  This Act commences on the day on which the Electricity and Water (Amendment) Act (No. 2) 1991 commences.

Principal Act

3.  In this Act, “Principal Act” means the Sewerage Rates Act 1968.1

Substitution

4.  Section 28A of the Principal Act is repealed and the following section substituted:

Power of Authority to determine charges

“28A.  While a determination under subsection 48 (1) of the Electricity and Water Act in relation to sewerage rates remains in force, the charge determined applies in respect of the rating year specified in the determination and each subsequent rating year.”.
