Settlement Agents Amendment Regulations

(No. 2) 2006

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.            Citation

These regulations are the Settlement Agents Amendment
Regulations (No. 2) 2006.

instructions in relation to a transaction;

2.            The Settlement Agents Regulations 1982 amended

(1)	The amendments in this regulation are to the Settlement Agents Regulations 1982*.

(2)	Regulation 6(1) is repealed and the following subregulation is inserted instead —

(1) For the purposes of Schedule 1 clause 1(1)(a) of the
Act the prescribed examinations are the examinations
required to be passed to complete the following
units —

(a) FNBCNVO1A: Take instructions in relation to

a transaction or FNSCONV501A: Take

(b) information for the transaction or

FNBCNVO2A: Obtain and analyse all information for the transaction;

(c) professionals and third parties or
FNSICCUS501A: Develop and nurture

FNBCNVO3A: Liaise with clients, other and third parties;

(d) manage disputes or FNSICORG603A:

FNBCNVO4A: Negotiate to achieve goals and disputes;

(e)

FNBCNVO5A: Prepare and/or analyse and Prepare and/or analyse and execute documents;

(f)	FNBCNVO6A: Establish, manage and administer trust accounts or FNSCONV503A: Establish, manage and administer trust accounts;
(g)	FNBCNVO7A: Finalise transactions or FNSCONV504A: Finalise conveyancing transactions.

3.	The Settlement Agents Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2004 amended
(1)	The amendments in this regulation are to the Settlement Agents Amendment Regulations (NO. 2) 2004*.

(2)	Regulation 4 is amended by deleting "1 July 2006" and
inserting instead —
