Settlement Agents Amendment Regulations 2016

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.            Citation

These regulations are the Settlement Agents Amendment
Regulations 2016.

2.            Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows -

(a)	regulations 1 and 2—on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations - when the Settlement Agents Code of Conduct 2016 rule 34 comes into operation.

3.            Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Settlement Agents Regulations 1982.
4.	Regulation 6AA replaced Delete regulation 6AA and insert:

Conduct 2016 Schedule 1 Form 1 is prescribed.

6AA. Information to be included in appointment to act as

settlement agent (Act s. 43(2)(a))

For the purposes of section 43(2)(a) of the Act the information contained in the Settlement Agents Code of

5.            Regulation 17 inserted

After regulation 16 insert:

17. Transitional provision for Settlement Agents
Amendment Regulations 2016

For the purposes of section 43(2)(a) of the Act, during the transitional period as defined in the Settlement Agents Code of Conduct 2016 rule 35, the following information is prescribed —

(a)	the information contained in the Settlement Agents' Code of Conduct 1982 Schedule Form 1; or
(b)	the information contained in the Settlement Agents Code of Conduct 2016 Schedule 1 Form 1.
