Settlement Agents Amendment Regulations 2012

Made by the Governoi , in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Settlement Agents Amendment

Regu/wions 2012.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows

(a) retulations 1 and 2 on the day on which these

regulations are published in the Gazette;

(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.
to complete a Diploma of Conveyancing.

3.             Regubtions amended

These regulations amend the Settlement Agents

Regu/wions 1982.

4.             Regulation 6 amended

(1) Delete regulation 6(1) and insert:

(1) The prescribed examinations lbi , the purposes of

Schedule I clause 1(1)(a) of the Act are the examinations that are required by a public training provider- or a registered training provider to he passed

(2) Delete regulation 6(2a) and insert:

(2A) Despite subregulations (1) and (2), until

34 June 2014 —

(a) prescribed under subregulation (1) as in force
i mmediately before the coming into operation

a person •ho has passed the examinations Regulations 2012 is.. subject to the Act. qualified fbr the grant of a real estate settlement agent's licence; and

(b) a person who has passed the examinations prescribed under subregulation (1) and the examination prescribed in subregulation (2)(b)

as in f rce in-imediatel y before the coming into operation of the Settlement Agents Amendment

Regulations 2012 is. subject to the Act,

qualified fi- the grant of a business settlement
agent's licence.

These regulations are the Travel Agents Amendment Regulations
(Na. 3) 2012.

2.             Commencement

These rei.ulations come into operation as follows

(a)	regulations I and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations on the day after that day.
