Sentencing Amendment Regulations 2008

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Sentencing Act 1997 .12 May 2008

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Sentencing Amendment Regulations 2008 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette. 3InterpretationIn these regulations – Act means the Sentencing Act 1997 . 4Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Sentencing Regulations 1998 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 5Regulation 3A insertedAfter regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations , the following regulation is inserted: 3AExtension of Part 3A of Act For the purposes of section 27Y of the Act, 31 July 2008 is prescribed.
