I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Sentencing Act 1997 .18 September 2000

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Sentencing Amendment Regulations 2000 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Sentencing Regulations 1998 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Regulation 6 and Schedule 1 insertedAfter regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations , the following regulation and Schedule are inserted: 6Prescribed form For the purposes of section 89(1)(a) of the Act, the prescribed form is the form set out in Schedule 1 .
