SEEDS ACT 1982—REGULATION

(Relating to the prohibition on sclerote in seed parcels)

HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council. and in pursuance of the Seeds Act 1982, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Seeds Regulation 1994 is amended by inserting in clause 8 after

the words “Sclerotinia spp.)” the words “, but only when contained in a

parcel of seeds of the species Helianthus annuus”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to restrict the present general prohibition on the

inclusion of sclerote in parcels of seed to parcels of sunflower seed.

This Regulation is made under the Seeds Act 1982, including sections 4 and 31 (the

general regulation-making power).
