s1 2 s5 Security Providers Amendment Regulation (No. 1) No. 84, 2003 2003 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Security Providers Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2003 . 2 Regulation amended This regulation amends the Security Providers Regulation 1995. 3 Amendment of s 17 (Register of crowd controllers) Section 17(2)(c), ‘section 19;’— omit, insert— ‘section 20; 1 ’. 4 Renumbering of ss 19–20 Sections 19 to 20— renumber as sections 20 to 22. 5 Insertion of new s 19 Part 4— insert— ‘19 Security provider not to wear or display chequerboard hat ‘ (1) A security provider, in carrying out the security provider’s functions, must not, without reasonable excuse— (a) wear a chequerboard hat; or (b) display, or permit to be displayed, a chequerboard hat. Example of displaying a hat — Holding a hat in view in the security provider’s hands. Maximum penalty—20 penalty units. ‘ (2) In this section— 1 Section 20 (Crowd controller’s identification—Act, s 47)
s6 3 s6 Security Providers Amendment Regulation (No. 1) No. 84, 2003 2003 “chequerboard hat” means a hat displaying a chequerboard design. Example — A hat that has a chequerboard hatband.’. 6 Amendment of schedule (Fees) Schedule, ‘section 20’ appearing after the schedule heading— omit, insert— ‘section 22’. ENDNOTES 1.
